Can I still see what I own while searching for new items?

Yes - While browsing through available items you will still see how many you have in your inventory. 

Can I type to search for items I own?

No - All of your owned items will be shown in the storage area. As of now, there is no type-to-search function. 

How do I find an item that I own?

All of your owned items will stay under their category. For example: If you’re looking for a specific owned door you can tap the cardboard box to filter into owned items, then tap decorations > doors. Here you will see all of your currently owned doors.
