Pets

A house is not a home without the pitter-patter of pet feet! Brand new PETS have just arrived on Home Street.

Pets can be found in the shops by tapping the shopping cart followed by the functional items tab (magic hat) then the pets tab (dog icon). Pets are a more advanced version of functional items. They still need to be stocked to become active but the payouts and the ways they can be customized and upgraded are different. Once you have selected your pet, you will be able to choose your pet's color and name them!

Please note: Pets can only be named when inactive, so remember to name your pet before you activate it!

The functional items tab (Special hat icon) now has 3 subcategories: one for functional items, one for pets, and one for stored pets.

Functional Gear tab: This is where all other functional items will appear.
Pet tab: This is where you can purchase new pets.

Purchasing Pets

Drag and drop the pet into your home to see the color options available and the price of the pet on the purchase menu.

Setting Your Pet’s Color

To select your pet’s color, choose a color from the boxes that appear below the pet and then tap the green OK button to confirm your purchase.

Don’t want to buy this pet? Tap Cancel to close the menu and return to the pet shop.

Customization

After purchasing a pet, you can still change the color of the fur from the restocking menu, however, this will cost a small fee. Please note that you are paying to swap the color not to buy the color, so if you want to change the color back then you will have to pay again.

Naming Pets

Pets can be named from the restocking menu. A maximum of 20 characters is allowed.

A random name option is also available. Pets are given a random name at the point of purchase.

Stored pets

Since pets can be named, customized, and leveled up, each pet, even those of the same breed and color, will be stored individually and the name of the pet will show as the item description.

Bond

Bond is a new leveling system for pets, to unlock upgrades and to earn rewards.

Bond points are earned at the end of each appointment as well as during the appointment as part of the active rewards and friend helps. 

Bond points drop out of the item when you collect the appointment reward.

Friend Help

Friend helps work the same as with functional items, except for pets the friend helps pay out bond points. Helping on a pet will have a cost just like functional items and the rewards for the helper are the same as if helping on a functional item.

Active Rewards

While a pet is active, you will be able to collect bond point from it every 1 hour.

The active rewards don’t stack so the current one has to be collected before the timer restarts, if you want to collect all of them then you will have to keep coming back to the game to collect them.

When the pet appointment ends, any active reward that was not collected in time will disappear.

When a reward is available, a small speech bubble with a paw appears above the pet's head. Tapping the pet (or speech bubble) will drop a bond point. These bond points don't get added straight away, the points will get added to the end of appointment reward.

Bond levels

The maximum bond level is 99. After level 99, you can keep repeating the last level, however, the number will not increase.

Upgrading Pets

Upgrades are locked by bond level and upgrades take time to complete like other functional items. As you upgrade your pet, you will unlock new animations between your character and pet! For example, a dog can start doing new tricks such as a backflip & MORE!

Upgrades can increase:

• The number of friend helps
• Appointment payout
• Friend help payout
• Active reward payout and times
• New interactions with your pet
  

FAQ

Q. Where can I buy a new pet?

Open the shop (shopping cart icon) and tap on the functional items tab (magic hat) followed by the pets tab (dog icon) in order to scroll through all of the pets available for purchase.

Q. How much do pets cost?

To view the cost of pets, view the pet in the shop to see the currency required to buy the specific pet or drag and drop the pet into your home and the purchase menu will appear.

Q. I can’t find my pet in storage! Where can I find my pet?

Pets inside of storage appear in the Stored Pets category (dog in a doghouse icon). Please note that if you do not have any pets stored then you will not see the Stored Pets tab (dog in a doghouse icon) until you have placed a pet into storage.

Q. How can I change the color of my pet?

Tap your Pet to open the restocking menu for the option to change the color of your pet. There is a cost to change the color of your pet. Once you have paid for a color for your pet, you have purchased a color change only. The color is not unlocked so if you want to switch back to a previously used color or a new color, there will be a cost to do so.

Q. Can my pet’s name be changed?

Yes. Your pet’s name can be changed by opening the restocking menu for your pet. Use your device keyboard to enter a new name for your pet.

Q. How come I did not receive the bond points that I collected?

Active rewards are collected following the end of your appointment.

Q. What is the max bond level for pets?

Currently, the max bond level is 99. Once you have reached the maximum level, you can still collect rewards, however, your bond level will not increase.
