Introduction
Enjoy the ride Neighbors - Home Street Vehicles now include Bikes, Scooters, Cars, and Yachts!
Vehicles are a category of Functional Items that can be found under their own tab in the Special Items category of the shops.
Vehicles can be stocked and boosted like all other functional items and, once activated by tapping on them, they will leave their “parking space” and move around the town.
Vehicles can only be purchased using a type of currency called Gears or as part of a Special Limited Time Bundle.
Types of Vehicles
- Bicycles and Scooters.
These Vehicles travel on the city roads around the playing area and also on some of the paths around the event area.
Some Bicycles and Scooters are permanent additions to the shops. In addition to these permanent vehicles, there are occasional limited-time special vehicles and bundles.
- Cars
These Vehicles travel on the city roads around the playing area.
Some Cars are permanent additions to the shops. In addition to these permanent vehicles, there are occasional limited time special vehicles and bundles.
3.Boats
These vehicles travel on the water.
To save space - once purchased, Boats are indicated by a special housing station on the playing area.
Boats can be stocked and boosted the same as all other vehicles and functional items - unstocked boats have Orange Life Rings, stocked boats have Green Life Rings.
Once activated (see below), Vehicles will travel at random on one of several designated paths around the Home Street town or harbor. Once the animation is over, the vehicle will return to its parking space or housing.
Vehicles will remain active for a set time, after which they will need to be restocked (the same as other functional items).
Collecting Gears
There are various ways of collecting Gears - these include:
- Milestones in Token and Neighborhood Events - this will be the primary way to collect Gears. Please note:
- Not every Milestone will award Gears.
- Not all Events will have Gears as rewards.
- Story Rewards - there will be occasional special stories that will give Gears as part of the reward for completing the story.
- The Prize Tent - There will be a small chance of obtaining Gears in the Treasure Box.
- Special Gear Bundles - these will occasionally be available on the right-hand side of the Playing Screen.
Activating, Boosting, and Interacting with Vehicles
Vehicles are stocked the same way as all other Functional Items - tap on the inactive Vehicle and then on Activate.
Once stocked, the vehicle will appear in its active state and can be interacted with by tapping on it.
Tapping on the active Vehicle will cause the vehicle to leave its parking space or housing and teleport to the road or water where it will follow one of several designated paths.
Like all other functionals, active Vehicles will display the red Help icon and can be boosted by friends.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I purchase a Shop Vehicle without collecting Gears?
A. No - Vehicles can only be obtained using the special Gear currency or by purchasing a special Vehicle Bundle (displayed down the right-hand side of the game screen).
Q. Can I purchase Gears with Vouchers or Coins?
A. No - the only ways to obtain Gears are from Event Milestones, Completing Special Stories or from the Prize Tent.
Q. Can I request or buy Gears from my friends?
A. No - Gears will not be transferable via the donation tool and they can not be bought and sold on the market.
Q. Will unused Gears expire?
A. No - like vouchers, collected gears will remain in your game until you use them.
Q. How can I check how many Gears I have?
A. Open the Special tab in shops and then click on the Vehicle Tab - once the Vehicle Tab is open, the number of Gears you own will be displayed at the top right of the game screen under the Vouchers.
Q. Will Vehicles be Upgradable?
A. Yachts, Cars, Bikes and Scooters are not upgradeable, but upgradeable vehicles may become available at a later date.
Q. Can I ride my bike with my Home Street friends?
A. No - the Bikes and Scooters are single rider only.
Q. Can my Home Street Friends ride with me in my car?
A. No - Cars are driver only and will not seat passengers.
Q. Can I drive my Yacht by myself?
A. No - Yachts are driven by a qualified harbour pilot.
Q. Can my Home Street friends ride with me on my yacht?
A. No - Yachts will only carry one passenger.
Q. How do I activate a Vehicle?
A. Tap on the inactive Vehicle and then tap on Activate. Tap on the Active Vehicle to interact with it (ride/drive it).
