On the main menu, tap on the blue Social button to create your own clan or join a clan of your choice!
Getting Started with Clans
On the main menu, tap the blue Social button to open access to your clan!
Tapping the blue Social button will open the Social menu. From here you can choose to either Browse Clans or Create one.
- If you choose to create a clan, you can create your first one for free, every new clan that you create after your first one will cost 100 gems
- If you would like to join a clan, you can do so by tapping the Browse Clan button from the Clan tab.
Creating a Clan
Create a clan by heading to the Social menu and tapping the Create Button on the Clan tab. You will find that you can personalize your clan in the following ways:
- Clan Icon - Personalise your clan by picking a unique icon for your clan.
- Name: Give your clan a unique name (use unique keywords) This is important for when players try to look for your clan, they can just type the most unique keyword to find it.
- Description: Enter a Clan description here to define what type of clan you are.
- Clan Type: This enables you to pick the clan membership type. The options available are:
- Anyone can Join - This is an open membership clan where anyone can join and leave.
- Apply to Join - This is a closed membership clan. If you pick this option, you have to accept each member before they appear in your clan.
- Play Style - Define the play style of your clan here. Are you a competitive or a casual clan?

Browsing Clans
If you chose to join an existing clan, you can do so by tapping on the Social menu >> Browse Clan Button. Here you can browse among the list of recommended clans or Search for a clan.
It is important to note that when your clan is full, it will not appear in the search results. The maximum number that can be added to a clan is 30 players.
Searching for Clans
Search for a Clan by tapping on Browse Clan >> Search button. Entering the most unique keyword rather than the whole clan name is the easiest way to find specific clans. You can further filter your search by language, and play style (casual or competitive).
Clan Menu
Congratulations! You are now part of a clan! Let’s take a quick look at the Clan menu starting with the Clan Info. Find this by tapping the “blue i” button on the top right of your clan chat.
- Join a game: If your clanmate is in a game, you can join them through the Clan info Screen. A max total of 50 players can join a game at a time. When the cap is reached, you are queued up and can spectate the match until a spot frees up.
- Add clanmates as friends: You can add your clanmates as friends by tapping on their snake names. When you do this, they appear on your friends tab back on the Social menu
- View Status: You can view if your friend is online or in a game via this screen.
- Leave Clan: You can leave the clan by tapping the leave button.
- Membership Type: This screen also displays the membership type for each clanmate whether they are member, manager, or owner.
Clan Roles
There are three different clan roles within a clan
- Owner: Creates the clan. Is able to change the name, icon, description, clan policy, and play style, promote members to any rank, remove members of any rank, chat and hide chat. There is one owner per clan. If the owner leaves the clan without promoting another player to the owner role, the game will assign that role to another player.
- Manager: Is able to accept new members, kick existing members, and chat. A clan may have an unlimited number of Managers.
- Member: Members are able to chat within the clan.
Clan Chat
Snakes that play together grow together! All chat messages with your clanmates appear on the chat screen.
Owners have the ability to hide chat messages when they are not in line with the Chat Guidelines. Chat Guidelines can be viewed by tapping the grey book button on the top right corner of your chat screen.
Chat history lasts for a maximum of 30 days after which, it is deleted. You will occasionally see game notifications within your chat:
- When a clanmate has joined your clan
- When a clanmate has left your clan
- When a clanmate is kicked from your clan
- When a clanmate is promoted in your clan
- When a clanmate is demoted in your clan
- When a clanmate has shared a gift with you
Clan Gifts
You now have the ability to share gifts with your clanmates! Read on to learn more about how this works in the game:
- When you make a qualifying purchase within the game, you will have the option of sharing a gift with your clanmates!
- Currently, purchases that qualify for Clan Gifts include purchasing the Battle Pass and Gem bundles of $9.99+.
- When you choose to share a gift, you will have the ability to send a message within the clan chat for all the members of your clan.
- You can personalize the message that appears with your gift before you share it.
- Clanmates can tap the “Claim” button to claim the gift.
- If a new member joins the clan after the gift was shared, they will not see the gift or be able to claim it.
- Once your clanmate claims the gift, they will see the contents of the gift, as shown below:
- Once you have claimed a gift, you will find a little green check-mark where you previously saw the claim button.
- All gifts come with an expiry period. If not claimed within 5 days, they will expire and the message will disappear from your chat.
- The gift amount is set in-game and not able to be changed.
- Making additional qualifying purchases will give you the ability to share more gifts with your clanmates.
Friends Tab
Connect and play together with your friends via the Friends tab! There are a few different ways that you can add friends to your friend list.
- Connect to Facebook
- Tap on Connect to Facebook button.
- Add friends via friend codes
To add a Friend, tap on the SOCIAL button on the main game screen followed by tapping on the FRIENDS tab. Here you will see the option of “Add Friend with Code” - you can add a friend using their Friend Code by tapping on the + sign. In this section you can also find your own Friend Code and, if you wish, share it via social media or messenger apps.
Inbox Tab
Currently, the inbox is used for when players request to join, the owner will get the request in their inbox.
FAQs
Can I search for a clan when I am already in a clan?
By design, if you are already part of a clan, the Search screen is replaced by the clan screen. You will not be able to browse/search for clans while in a clan.
I was accidentally kicked out of the clan and now I'm unable to rejoin! Why?
When a player is accidentally kicked from the clan, there is a cooldown period of 24 hours before they can reapply/rejoin the same clan.
